Wistman’s Wood

Dartmoor

Miles and miles of nothing but grass and gorse. Then what? A tiny forest of tiny stunted oak trees with a lush green carpet of moss. Dartmoor is full of surprises.

  1. Do you know, in all the walking through forests I’ve done, I’ve never encountered a lady up a tree waiting to be rescued….. I live in hope. ;)
I do like to find mossy covered rocks in the woodlands, the give such a sense of mystery.

I really like the moss covered stones – they look as though they have grown too!
