A real bit of Beetle Magic!
Normally when I design the idea comes first and yarn choices follow. In the case of Beetle Magic though, the whole idea was sparked by this beautiful yarn from RiverKnits @riverknitsuk. Chimera is a magical hand-dyed marl spun from 100% British Bluefaced Leicester. When I saw the Aurora Borealis colourway my mind instantly went to beetles, and that's how Beetle Magic came to be!
Coming next week!
I met this magnicent friend, and they reminded me I have a lot of exciting beetley things to share with you very soon! I also googled them, and discovered that they're an oil beetle. Up with the sun this morning!
I went to see if there were newts, and there were newts, and a frog, and a lesser spotted Katie in the water. I didn't take swimmers or a towel but I don't think the spectators minded my undies.
Looking up, looking down...
Red dungers are happening!
