I am increasingly impatient that all my new products are yet to arrive, so I made a pop-up of my pop-up at @edinyarnfest!
I'll be there with woolly-themed posters, prints, zines, brooches and cards on all three days from 2-4pm, and at Sunday's MAKE::WOOL event. With my wonderful assistant @islap1k1 helping me out 😊
I can't wait to meet you so please come and say hi, either at my stand or if you catch me wandering around the festival, the Big Knit Night or the Ceilidh. It's going to be so much fun!
OK, OK, I can't sit on this any more! I want to show you the first of three (three!) craft projects that will be in the new Green Bean zine! This oystercatcher cushion is inspired by the rocks on my favourite beach. It's a combination of applique and embroidery, and if you swipe you'll see it's backed with an oystercatcher fabric I designed too 😊
I sent the new issue to the printers yesterday, and I am so excited for it. It has been five years since I self-published anything, taking a long break due to a mixture of choice, finances and illness. That's a story I'll tell at some point, but for now I am enjoying a period of wellness that has let me see this passion project through to completion. I am SO proud of it. And yes I already want to start the next one!
The new Green Bean will be available on paper and digitally. It will be coming with me to EYF and will be online thereafter (or perhaps even before, depending on how speedy my printers are). Now to record a podcast to tell you all about what's coming....
Drawing with thread instead of ink today.
✏🐚 This is the last of three craft projects I'be designed for the new Green Bean Zine (I know, I know, I haven't shown you the others yet!). After five years' break, first planned and then unplanned, I can hardly wait to bring my little publication back into the world. I can also hardly believe this new issue is almost ready...tentatively, only a couple more weeks until it's here?!
🙊🙊🙊 I designed the shell print fabric specifically for this project, and once the Green Bean is on sale you'll be able to order the fabric too 😊
I'm busy editing the second Patrons' episode of The Green Bean Podcast, in which I tried recording outside on Dartmoor! 🎥🌳⛅🐏🐎
Didn't know we had a Patreon? I just set it up, and have been overwhelmed by the response so far. If you'd like to spend a bit more time with me (and Jack...I know you're all about Jack really, I understand) then see the link in my profile. We're recording a bonus episode in between each official one on YouTube.
Edited to add: the podcast as you know it will not change at all. I'm committed to making episodes as regularly as I can and available for free, so please don't feel pressure to support if it doesn't work for you financially. This is just a way to help me keep podcasting sustainable and fun, and I'm grateful to everyone who supports whether that be through Patreon, or simply watching and leaving a nice comment. That anyone even watches the podcast still astounds me! 😂
